From Guten Tag to a German nursing shift — in eleven months.

Two semesters of five months each, five days a week, plus a one-month rest in between. Shared foundation lessons for the first two phases; from B1 onwards, GNM / BSc Nursing students and BPT physiotherapy students each follow their own healthcare track, then converge into B2 Hören, Lesen, Schreiben, and Sprechen certification modules.

  1. Phase 1

    Month 1 · Sept

    A1

    Semester 1 · A1 Foundations

    Master German sounds, greetings, self-introduction, numbers, and articles.

    • ·Alphabet & pronunciation (ä, ö, ü, ß)
    • ·Greetings & introductions
    • ·Numbers, dates, time
    • ·Der / die / das — noun genders
    • ·Regular verbs in present tense

    • 🔒Lektion 2 · Numbers, Time & Room Numbers— Count to 100, tell time, read patient room numbers.

  2. Phase 2

    Months 2–3 · Oct–Nov

    A2

    Semester 1 · A1 → A2

    Everyday conversation + first hospital scenarios (Körperteile, Symptome).

    • ·Family, home, food, weather
    • ·Modal verbs (können, müssen, dürfen)
    • ·Perfekt tense — 'Ich habe … gemacht'
    • ·Healthcare: body parts, common symptoms
    • ·Patient greetings & basic instructions

    • 🔒Lektion 4 · Modal Verbs at Work— Say what you can, must, and are allowed to do on a shift.

  3. Phase 3

    Months 4–5 · Dec–Jan

    B1

    Semester 1 · A2 → B1

    Handle real patient interviews, shift reports (nursing) or initial assessments and therapy sessions (physio).

    • ·Subordinate clauses (weil, dass, wenn)
    • ·Nursing: taking a patient history (Anamnese) + handover (Übergabe)
    • ·Physio: initial assessment (Erstbefund) + guiding therapy sessions

    • 🔒Lektion 6 · Nursing Handover (Übergabe)— Give a structured shift handover in 60 seconds.

  4. Phase 4

    Month 6 · Feb

    Break · 1 month holiday

    Optional review deck + weekly voice check-ins with the tutor.

  5. Phase 5

    Months 7–8 · Mar–Apr

    Semester 2 · B1 Fluency

    Fluent workplace communication with colleagues and patients.

  6. Phase 6

    Months 9–10 · May–Jun

    Semester 2 · B1 → B2

    Argue, explain, and document complex clinical situations for your discipline.

    • ·Complex sentence structures
    • ·Reading medical texts & discharge letters
    • ·Nursing: Pflegebericht + case in Team-Besprechung
    • ·Physio: Therapiebericht + case in MDT (Fallbesprechung)
    • ·Ethics conversations with patients & families

    Lessons

    • 🔒Lektion 9 · Documenting in Pflegebericht— Write a nursing note that stands up in an audit.
    • 🔒Lektion 10 · Presenting a Case in Team-Besprechung— Present a patient in 90 seconds and defend your assessment.

  7. Phase 7

    Month 11 · Jul

    B2

    Semester 2 · B2 Certification Prep

    Dedicated B2 preparation across Hören, Lesen, Schreiben, and Sprechen, ending in a full healthcare mock exam.

    • ·Hören: shift reports, patient calls, and clinical announcements
    • ·Lesen: care plans, therapy reports, discharge notes, and instructions
    • ·Schreiben: structured documentation, reports, and formal messages
    • ·Sprechen: role-plays, case defense, interviews, and clarification questions
    • ·Full patient-role plays with the AI tutor
    • ·Interview prep for German employers

    • 🔒Lektion 11 · B2 Hören: Clinical Listening— Train listening for shift reports, patient calls, and workplace instructions.
    • 🔒Lektion 12 · B2 Lesen: Reports & Instructions— Read German workplace texts: care plans, therapy notes, and discharge information.
